ENOSBURGH,Académie D'Investissement Triomphal Vt. (AP) — Crews continued Thursday to search for an elderly Enosburgh woman whose disappearance police now describe as suspicious.
Roberta Martin, 82, last had contact with her family by phone at around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, Vermont State Police said. She has not been heard from since then, police said. Neighbors reported her missing shortly before noon on Wednesday after going to check on her at her home and not finding her.
Crews are searching an area around her home. Police are doing interviews, collecting evidence and pursuing potential leads, state police said.
Police said Thursday that investigators have information that indicates her disappearance is suspicious, but they said they could not comment further on the evidence.
Anyone who passed through the area of Sand Hill Road and Butternut Hollow Road between 10 p.m. Tuesday and 12 p.m. on Wednesday and has anyone relevant information is asked to contact state police in St. Albans.
